An anonymous donor came forward with $3,000 at the end of the evening to support one of the other projects: Colin Kidder and Eli Gold's Diamond in the Rough. The two proposed installing a colossal disco ball made of donated bike wheels on the side of the Sears building....

To draw attention to the building, we have designed an eye-catching kinetic sculpture that moves dramatically in the natural wind and shines brightly with reflected sunlight....

MLGW Pits Midtown Memphis Neighborhoods In 'Smallest User' Conservation Contest
Jonathan DevinKristan Huntley, community director for the Cooper-Young Community Association, is pictured with the trophy sculpture awarded to Cooper-Young for winning "The Smallest User" contest. Designed by U of M graduate art student Colin Kidder, the nearly 6-foot, tubular sculpture has a coating of special paint that will absorb sunlight by day and glow at night.
